Inner Layers is a trans-disciplinary enterprise dedicated to the documentation, preservation and presentation of the details of everyday practices of Iranian life, especially those aspects that have been historically neglected or marginalized by more traditional and formal analysis. Inner Layers is interested in the ongoing conservation and interpretation of materials that convey private and public expressions of Iranian life and popular culture among the Iranian diaspora. The resources of Inner Layers are available electronically to researchers, students, and anyone interested in Iranian culture. Through the publication of books, audio-visual projects and electronic exhibits, Inner Layers highlights segments of its archive in various formats.
